Family support pours in after fatal crash near Pecos
PECOS, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) - A car accident this past Monday on Highway 17 claimed the life of a Chihuahua woman. The woman was identified as Minerva Santillán, 41 years old. Pedro Vaquera, 86 years old, who was also involved in the crash, remains in critical condition in Odessa with more than 10 broken ribs, fluid and blood in his lungs, and fractures to his neck and foot. Santillán's daughters, Yoselin, 18 years old, and Samadhy, 9 years old, were sent to the hospital from the crash but have since been discharged. A GoFundMe has been created to help cover funeral costs, hospital bills, and transportation expenses.
