Husband mourns loss of his wife, killed in Yadkin County car crash while heading to work
A Yadkin County family is grieving the sudden loss of a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother after she was killed in a crash on her way to work. Her husband shares the love they built together and the void her loss has left behind.On Thursday, Roy Moser and his family’s world was shattered after the Boonville Volunteer Fire Department responded to a crash on U.S. 601 near River Road in Yadkin County Thursday. The crash took the life of his wife, Tammy Moser, as she was driving to work. Get the latest news stories of interest by clicking here"My youngest daughter's boyfriend had to call me and let me know that I needed to get home because there was troopers needed to talk to me," he said. "I knew it wasn't good."He says his wife was one of the most selfless people you could ever meet. Caring for others wasn't just her career, it was her calling."She had her CNA before she actually got out of high school, which she maintained almost 28 years," he said. "She's done that in hospital settings, nursing home settings, and in-home healthcare settings. She loved, absolutely loved, and she was very proud of being a disaster responder for the American Red Cross."And together over the last 21 years, they’ve built a life rich with love and family. Subscribe to WXII's free YouTube channel here"I've told her many times in the past that I would leave this world loving her, and that if I got to stay with her 100 years, 100 years still wouldn't be enough," he said. "A lot of people spend their lives looking for that fairy tale or dreaming about having it. That was my fairy tale, and I didn't feel like that story was finished yet until yesterday."However, despite the devastating loss to his family, he says their story is still not finished."We're just going to continue it because I know she's going to wait for me so that we can finish this story," he said. "I know she'd want me to be strong for our girls and our grandbaby. I just want everybody to know how truly selfless, loving, and compassionate she was towards everybody, more so than herself. She was a dedicated volunteer who faithfully served the families of Surry and Yadkin counties.
