Two dead in Dartmouth crash near Westport line, DA says
Two people are dead following a Friday night crash in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.The collision, involving a blue Toyota Camry sedan that sustained "catastrophic damage" and a SAAB sedan, occurred around 7:35 p.m. on Route 6 near the Westport/Dartmouth line, according to the Bristol County district attorney's office. Officials said the Toyota's driver, Tristan Bedient, 34, of Acushnet, and passenger, Kate Aldrich, 51, of New Bedford, were transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead.The two occupants of the other sedan sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to the district attorney.The cause of the crash remains under investigation.NewsCenter 5 will bring you updates as they become available.
