2 killed in 3-vehicle crash on Loop 375 in El Paso
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Two people died after a three-vehicle crash that happened Tuesday night, July 21, in far East El Paso, according to the El Paso Police Department. Police have identified the four individuals involved in the crash on Loop 375 South at Pellicano as Isaac Ibarra, 24, and Fabian Alexander Alonzo, 24, Adrian Gunjardo, 20, and Adrian Gonzalez, 32. Ibarra and Alonzo died from injuries sustained in the collision, according to police. The El Paso Police Department’s Special Traffic Investigation (STI) unit was dispatched to Loop 375 South. The investigation revealed that Ibarra was speeding in a Toyota Tundra on Loop 375 South, and passing vehicles with Alonzo in the passenger seat. A Genesis and a Nissan Maxima were also traveling south on Loop 375 when the Tundra pickup truck cut across all lanes of traffic and sideswiped the Genesis, police said. The pickup truck continued and rear-ended the Nissan. As a result of the rear-end collision, the pickup truck spun and collided with the center barrier and collided with a concrete pole.
