84-year-old passenger dies after car crashes into embankment
An 84-year-old woman was killed in a solo car crash in Madera County on Monday. CHP responded to a solo car accident in the area of Road 209 south of Road 406. According to the investigation, a 63-year-old man was driving a gray 2020 Kia Forte, traveling northbound on Road 209, approaching a curve in the roadway. For unknown reasons, the car veered off the roadway onto the west shoulder and collided with an embankment. The man suffered minor injuries. An 84-year-old woman riding along was transported from the scene to Community Regional Medical Center.
