Two air ambulances called after rollover crash ejects person on US 50-A in Fernley
A rollover crash in Fernley sent two people to a Reno-area hospital by air ambulance Tuesday evening, after an SUV rolled over and blocked travel lanes on US 50-A near Wedge Lane. North Lyon Fire was dispatched just before 5 p.m. to the area for a reported rollover motor vehicle accident. When crews arrived, they found an SUV that had rolled and was blocking the travel lanes. Two people were involved in the crash, and one was ejected from the vehicle. Due to the severity of the injuries, two air ambulances were requested. Both helicopters landed on US 50-A near the incident, and both patients were transported to a Reno-area hospital for further treatment. The scene was turned over to the Nevada State Police for an investigation.
