Far West Side crash leaves one driver dead
SAN ANTONIO - A man was killed in a crash early Wednesday morning on the Far West Side. The accident happened just before 4:30 a.m. off Culebra Road near Stillwater Parkway. Police said a 39-year-old driver was speeding when he rear-ended another vehicle. His vehicle continued forward, crashed through a fence and slammed into a concrete wall. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was treated at the scene. Police have not released the identity of the man who died. The investigation is ongoing. Culebra Road between Stillwater Parkway and Gas Road is expected to remain closed for several hours as investigators process the scene.
