Motorcyclist dead, PSP investigating deadly crash
DELAWARE TOWNSHIP, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) say a man is dead and another is injured after a crash involving a car and a motorcycle in Delaware Township Saturday afternoon. In a release, PSP say they were called after a crash at the intersection of State Route 405 and State Route 44 in Delaware Township Saturday just before 1:30 p.m. Troopers say 50-year-old Adam Erdly from Montgomery was driving Northbound on SR 405 while the other vehicle, an SUV, in the crash was traveling Eastbound on SR 44. The SUV drove through the intersection without clearance, which led to Erdly hitting the other vehicle's passenger-side tire, according to state police. PSP explained that Erdly suffered suspected serious injuries and was taken for evaluation. It's unknown at this time when and where Erdly died or the manner of his death. Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of their minor injuries, while their passenger was treated on scene for suspected minor injuries. PSP says the investigation into the incident continues.
