Woman hurt in collision with South Shore structure
In Chicago, a woman is in the hospital recovering after crashing her car into a building on the South Side during the early hours of Saturday. Police reported that the incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. on South Exchange Avenue in South Shore. The driver, whose age is not known, was traveling north in a blue sedan when she failed to slow down while making a turn and ended up jumping a curb, ultimately colliding with a nearby building before coming to a stop on train tracks. The driver sustained injuries of unspecified severity and was hospitalized in fair condition. A female passenger declined medical assistance at the scene. Authorities mentioned that citations against the driver are under consideration.
