Two killed in two-car crash on Route 6 in Chaplin Friday night
CHAPLIN, Conn. (WTNH) — Two people were killed in a car crash on Route 6 in Chaplin Friday night, the town's first selectman said. The crash involved two cars and it happened just before midnight, according to state police. The town's first selectman said the crash happened on Route 6 near the intersection with Route 198. The road was shut down until 9:00 Saturday morning. Two people were killed in the crash, according to town's first selectman James Harrington. Their identities have not been released at this time. The state police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Squad (C.A.R.S.) responded and investigated the crash. First Selectman Harrington released a statement saying: State police say more information will be released.
