Two people are dead, and two others are injured after an oak tree fell onto a moving truck in Putnam County. The falling tree killed the two passengers in the backseat, and the other two passengers were taken to a medical center in Macon, according to the sheriff. Sheriff Sills said first responders with the fire department conducted a "laborious extraction" to recover the passengers from the truck. The sheriff told WGXA that the identities of the deceased victims have not been announced as his office works to notify next of kin, and the extent of the survivors' injuries is unclear.
