New Mexico Republican Party treasurer charged in fatal hit-and-run
Kimberly Skaggs, treasurer for the Republican Party of New Mexico, is facing charges after a deadly crash in Las Cruces. According to court records, Doña Ana County sheriff's deputies said Skaggs was driving on Monday afternoon when she hit a man as he crossed the street. The man died from his injuries. Deputies said Skaggs left the scene of the crash. Court records show witnesses identified the vehicle Skaggs was driving, and deputies arrested her. The Republican Party of New Mexico has been contacted for comment regarding Skaggs, but a response is still pending.
