Truck crash knocks out power to 2,000+ in Northeast El Paso
Over a dozen power outages are affecting El Paso on Friday afternoon, with the biggest one in the Northeast caused by a crash. According to El Paso Electric's power outage map, as of 2:40 p.m., there are 14 power outages in the Borderland, affecting 3,182 customers-- with the biggest one being near Loop 375 and Rushing Road and affecting 2,357. A spokesperson for the utility said that the big outage was caused by a truck that hit a power line near Woodrow Bean and Girl Scout Way.
