Tragic dirt bike crash claims the life of 15-year-old near Colorado Springs
A tragic incident occurred near Ellicott on December 24th, Christmas Eve, where a collision involving two dirt bikes resulted in the death of a 15-year-old boy. The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) responded to the scene at South Ellicott Highway and Jayhawk Avenue after receiving reports of the crash around 5 p.m. The dirt bikes involved were being ridden by a 15-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man. Despite efforts by first responders to save both riders, the 15-year-old was sadly pronounced dead at the location, while the 21-year-old was airlifted to the hospital. The cause of the accident remains under investigation as CSP continues to gather information.
