Traffic collision causes ‘Haz-Mat incident’ closing Highway 50, CHP says
(FOX40.COM) — Highway 50 in El Dorado County is closed after a traffic collision Saturday morning, California Highway Patrol officials said. A Toyota 4Runner and an Amazon box truck were involved in a collision at Ice House Road at about 7:35 a.m. The highway is closed in both directions from Meyers to Riverton "due to a commercial vehicle Haz-Mat incident," according to CHP. CHP urged drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes. Highway 50 was opened to one-lane controlled traffic in Riverton Saturday afternoon, according to CHP. This is a developing story.
