1 dead, 2 injured in early morning crash in Barrington Hills
BARRINGTON HILLS, Ill. (WGN) - One person died in a crash early Saturday morning in Barrington Hills. The Barrington Hills Police Department said the crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Brinker Road and Hills & Dales Road. Officers arrived at the scene and found a male who had been ejected from a vehicle. He was pronounced dead and two other people inside the vehicle were taken to area hospitals, according to investigators. Police said the preliminary investigaton indicates a Mercedes SUV was traveling north on Brinker Road, left the roadway, hit several trees and rolled over. Authorities added speed was a contributing factor in the crash. The victims' identities have not been released and the crash remains under investigation.
