Two riders in critical condition after late-night motorcycle crash in NW Portland
Two motorcyclists were seriously injured late Friday in a crash in Northwest Portland that prompted a response from the Portland Police Bureau’s Major Crash Team. Officers from the bureau responded at 11:14 p.m. Friday, July 24 to reports of a crash involving two motorcycles at Northwest St. Helens Road and Northwest Front Avenue. Police arrived and found both drivers down. SEE ALSO | Some Vancouver business owners fear citation limits could fuel repeat low-level crime Paramedics took both riders to a nearby hospital. Both drivers were listed in critical condition, and one had life-threatening injuries. The Major Crash Team is investigating. Northwest St. Helens Road was closed between Northwest Front Avenue and Northwest Balboa Avenue during the investigation.
