No charges to be filed in connection to 2025 Indiana Co. fatal accident
Indiana County District Attorney Robert Manzi provided an update on a crash in October of last year, involving an IndiGO bus. 39-year-old Christina Perez and 68-year-old Ronald Mabon died after being struck by the bus on October 20 at the intersection of 7th Street and Philadelphia Street in the borough. Manzi announced on Friday that no charges will be filed in connection to the crash. Investigators said the pedestrians were unfortunately in a blind spot of the bus, caused by a large frame bar attached to the window. Manzi said his office cannot press charges without clear evidence of the driver being at fault, despite the tragic loss of life, but that the door is still potentially open for civil lawsuits in connection to the deadly crash.
