TRAFFIC ALERT: 18-wheeler accident causes traffic jam on I-10 near 11th Street
An accident involving a tractor trailer is backing up traffic at about 12:30 Monday afternoon on Interstate 10 West near 11th Street. Beaumont Police say there are no reported injuries, but the big rig has leaked about 75 gallons of diesel onto the highway. BPD is calling for a hazmat team to clean up the diesel. You're asked to take an alternate route until the scene is clear. The accident took place in the rain, but it's not clear yet if that was the cause.
