(WCIA) -- Four people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on I-74 in Vermilion County Friday evening, and traffic in the area is down to one lane. Illinois State Police said at approximately 5:06 p.m., Troop 7 responded to I-74 eastbound near IL-49/North 200 East Road in Fithian for the report of a three-vehicle crash. Following the accident, four people have been transported to the hospital with injuries. At this time, the left lane is blocked, but State Police said traffic is getting by slowly in the right lane. Drivers should expect delays in this area and seek an alternate route if possible. State Police added troopers, fire and other emergency personal are actively working this crash scene. There is no further information available at this time.
