Motorcyclist killed in crash on Wasatch Boulevard

COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah (ABC4) — A motorcyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Wasatch Boulevard Friday afternoon According to the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), SR-190 or Wasatch Boulevard is completely closed in both directions. Lance Bess with the Cottonwood Heights Police Department stated that, shortly before 1:45 p.m., a Subaru and motorcycle collided at the intersection of Millrock Drive and Wasatch Boulevard. The motorcyclist was thrown from their vehicle and sustained serious injuries. Unfortunately, despite life-saving measures, they were pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the Subaru was uninjured and is reportedly on scene and cooperating.  At this time, the intersection has been closed as law enforcement continue to investigate the crash. Travelers should avoid the area and seek alternate routes. At this time, officials have not provided additional details on the crash or the identity of the deceased motorcyclist.
