Three wounded, one critically, in Commerce Township car accident
A two-vehicle collision occurred on Thursday afternoon in Oakland County, Michigan, resulting in injuries to three individuals, with one in critical condition. According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, the crash was caused by one driver running a red light at the intersection of Maple Road and M-5 in Commerce Township. This vehicle was then hit by another heading southbound. The critically injured driver was taken to a hospital in Novi, while the two occupants of the second vehicle, who sustained minor injuries, were transported to a hospital in West Bloomfield. Commerce Township Fire and Rescue responded to the scene. Southbound lanes of M-5 at Maple were closed for about two hours as per Michigan Department of Transportation reports. The investigation is being handled by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Crash Investigation Unit.
