Teen dies from injuries after Erie County crash involving ATV

***Watch previous coverage in the video above*** MILAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) - A 13-year-old Cleveland boy died from his injuries after a crash involving an ATV and an SUV in Erie County over the weekend. The crash happened around 1:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon along State Route 113 in Milan Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Investigators said the ATV, operated by a 10-year-old and carrying a 13-year-old passenger, went into the roadway from a private drive and was hit by an SUV heading east on the highway. The ATV caught fire after the crash, and the SUV went off the road, overturned and struck a utility pole, investigators said. Both children were taken to Fisher-Titus Medical Center, but the 13-year-old was later flown to UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. The teen died from his injuries on Thursday, OSHP confirmed to FOX 8 on Friday. The crash is still under investigation at this time.
