Severe injuries for pedestrian in W. Coliseum Blvd. collision.
A man in Fort Wayne, Indiana, sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle on W. Coliseum Blvd. Thursday night. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. in the 3700 block of Coliseum, just east of Hillegas Rd. Fort Wayne police arrived to find the man conscious but badly injured. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition by medics. The driver involved in the accident was unharmed and is cooperating with authorities. The investigation into the incident is being handled by the FWPD's Fatal Accident Crash Team, who have ruled out speed or alcohol as factors in the crash.
