Seven PAOK supporters die in car accident in Romania
The Greek embassy in Romania has confirmed that all seven individuals who tragically lost their lives in a traffic accident involving a minivan carrying PAOK supporters in Romania were fans of the Thessaloniki team. The minivan had left Greece with 10 passengers en route to France for an Europa League match. Three injured individuals are currently conscious and receiving medical care at Timisoara University Hospital. The accident occurred on the E70 highway between Caransebes and Lugojel, and Romanian authorities are investigating the incident. The Greek government is prepared to provide any necessary support, including repatriation if medically required. PAOK chairman Ivan Savvidis expressed deep sorrow over the loss, emphasizing solidarity with the families of the victims. Thessaloniki Mayor Stelios Angeloudis also offered condolences to the families and wished a quick recovery to the injured fans.
