1 dead after crash on WB Westside Parkway Monday morning
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A woman is dead after a crash reported on westbound Westside Parkway Monday morning. The crash was reported around 9:56 a.m. in the area of the Westside Parkway near the Highway 99 interchange, according to the Bakersfield Police Department. Preliminary investigation showed a gray Toyota Corolla driven by a woman, later identified as Jacqueline Santiago, 38, of Lamont was traveling on the Westside Parkway when the vehicle abruptly veered off the roadway and struck several fixed objects. Police said Santiago sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Santiago was the only person in the vehicle.
