SCHP investigates fatal crash in Georgetown County
GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Georgetown County on Tuesday night. According to Master Trooper William Bennett, a 2001 Honda Sedan was traveling east on Harris Landing Road near the intersection with Earl Road at 11:53 p.m., and struck a ditch culvert and a tree. The vehicle contained a driver and a passenger, states Bennett. Emergency Medical Services transported the driver to a hospital for their injuries, and the passenger died on scene. The incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
