Longboarder killed in late-night collision in Millcreek
MILLCREEK, Utah (ABC4) — A longboard rider was fatally struck by a car in Millcreek late Saturday night, Unified Police said. Sgt. Aymee Race told ABC4.com that the accident occurred near 3900 S. 971 East at 11:57 p.m. on Saturday. A small, two-door sedan was traveling westbound on 3900 S. when it struck the back of a longboarder who was also traveling westbound in the roadway. The victim passed away from their injuries on scene. The driver remained on scene, and Race added that there were no reports of intoxication. Unified Police is also reminding drivers to be cognizant of their surroundings at night and riders to ride on sidewalks to reduce future risk.
