Sacramento school bus accident ends with all children unharmed
In Sacramento County, an incident occurred involving a school bus carrying many children which required it to be rescued from a water-filled ditch following a collision on Monday morning. The accident occurred near Santa Ana Avenue on Raley Boulevard at around 7:30 a.m. The California Highway Patrol suspects that the driver of the school bus may have fallen asleep just before the incident. The driver apparently swerved to avoid hitting a guardrail, leading the bus to veer into the ditch. Approximately 30 to 40 children were on the bus during the crash, but fortunately, there were no injuries reported by the CHP. The school bus belonged to the Robla School District. The students were transferred to another bus and safely transported to school. The driver of the bus has been hospitalized for assessment, according to the CHP.
