Report: Car crashes into vehicle on San Pedro bridge; separate accident results in teen fatality
A woman was reported to have driven in the wrong direction on the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro on Saturday night, colliding with a car carrying five people, including a baby. The driver, traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes in a white SUV, was apprehended at the scene. A bystander at the scene revealed that the vehicle hit by the suspect's car had four adults and a child on board, with one individual taken to the hospital for minor injuries. In another incident nearby later that evening, a tragic accident occurred when a Mustang driver lost control at high speeds and crashed into a power pole at 22nd Street and Harbor Boulevard in San Pedro. Unfortunately, a teenager in the passenger seat passed away from injuries sustained in the crash, with the driver, a juvenile, suffering minor injuries and being arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. The Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson mentioned that investigators were looking into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
