Man charged with vehicular homicide in fatal I-95 crash in Boynton Beach
A man is facing a vehicular homicide charge months after a deadly crash on Interstate 95 in Boynton Beach, according to state records.Stay up to date: The latest headlines and weather from WPBF 25The Florida Highway Patrol arrested Guy Augustin in connection with the October 2025 crash that killed a woman. Investigators said the crash happened around 9:45 p.m. Oct. 8, 2025, on southbound I-95, just south of Gateway Boulevard. According to the arrest affidavit, Augustin was driving a BMW when he changed lanes and collided with another car. The impact caused the second vehicle to crash into a concrete barrier. The driver of the second vehicle, identified as Martha Gutierrez, was taken to a hospital, where she later died. Troopers say evidence shows Augustin was driving at a high rate of speed and weaving through traffic before the crash. Data from the vehicle indicated speeds well over 100 mph just seconds before impact. Investigators determined Augustin’s driving caused the crash and the woman’s death.
