Renton police seek witnesses after deadly rollover crash
A person was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Tuesday evening in Renton, according to the Renton Police Department (RPD). Officers responded to the crash in the 700 block of Rainier Avenue North at about 6:21 p.m., police said. The RPD said the collision involved a single vehicle that rolled over. No additional details about the victim or the circumstances leading up to the crash were immediately available. Southbound Rainier Avenue North is closed between the 600 and 800 blocks while officers investigate. Motorists are being asked to use alternate routes. Police said the roadway is expected to remain closed for several hours as the investigation continues. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information related to the incident is asked to call 911 and reference case No. 26-4921. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, according to the RPD.
