Police begin 'extensive investigation' after fatal motorcycle crash
Lower Swatara Township Police are investigating a fatal overnight crash that involved a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer on Saturday. The crash was reported around 4:35 a.m. in the 2000 block of North Union Street, according to police. The motorcyclist, who has not been identified publicly, was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, police said. The exact circumstances of the crash are under investigation by the Dauphin County Accident Reconstruction Team. "At this time, the accident is currently in the initial stages of an extensive investigation," Lower Swatara Township Police said in a statement. "No further information will be released."
