Juvenile airlifted to hospital, several injured in Laclede County vehicle crash
Several people, including a juvenile, were injured in a vehicle crash in Laclede County on Friday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the crash happened at 1:04 p.m. on Highway 5 and Orchard Drive. According to the crash report , a 2023 GMC Terrain turned onto Highway 5 and into the path of a 2022 Hyundai Venue. The Hyundai struck the GMC, crossed the roadway and struck a 2014 Toyota Prius. The Hyundai driver, a 34-year-old Geneseo, Il. man, and a 10-year-old girl who was a passenger both sustained serious injuries. The juvenile was airlifted to a hospital, while the driver was transported by ambulance. The GMC driver, a 76-year-old Lebanon woman, and Toyota driver, a 71-year-old Columbia woman, suffered moderate injuries. Both women were transported by ambulance to a hospital. MSHP noted that everyone was wearing a seatbelt during the incident.
