WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A car crashed into a Dairy Queen in Independence on Thursday. It happened about 5:15 p.m. near the intersection of North Pennsylvania Avenue and Cypress Street. Upon arrival, Independence Fire Department crews found a vehicle all the way inside the Dairy Queen. Crews were able to make contact with the driver, who was able to exit the vehicle and declined transport by emergency medical services. No customers or employees were hurt. "And for those wondering — there were no Dilly Bars injured in the incident!" the department wrote on Facebook. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
