Passenger killed in crash on Rt. 14A in Ontario County
SENECA, N.Y. (WROC) — One person is dead, and two others are seriously injured after a crash on Route 14A in Ontario County. According to state police, officers responded to State Route 14A near Hastings Road in Seneca for a motor vehicle accident that involved two vehicles — a Kia K4 with three occupants and a Dodge Ram with only the driver inside. One of the passengers in the vehicle, 47-year-old Edwin C. Montanez of Syracuse, died at the scene. The driver and rear passenger, both male, were hospitalized at Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Dodge Ram was treated and released. The area was closed as traffic was rerouted. It has since reopened. New York State Police are continuing to investigate the crash. This is a developing story.
