One dead after Putnam County crash closed lanes on U.S. 40
PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. — At least one person is dead after a crash in Putnam County on Friday evening. According to an INDOT Traffic Management Center alert, all westbound lanes of U.S. 40 are closed at Appleblossom Drive due to a motorist being struck around 7:06 p.m. This is about six miles east of the Harmony area. At 9:01 p.m., a second alert came in stating that all lanes remain closed and there is one confirmed fatality.
