2 charter buses crash in Northeast, DC; 6 hospitalized
Several people were injured after two charter buses crashed into each other on Interstate 295 in Northeast, D.C. , on Friday, according to DC Fire and EMS officials. Crews were called to a crash on I-295 Northbound and Eastern Avenue, Northeast, after learning two charter buses had crashed at around 6:45 p.m. Seventy-four people on the buses were taken and sheltered following the incident, according to DC Fire. Six people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, while three others refused to be taken to the hospital.
