NPD: 1 seriously hurt following crash on Lafayette Blvd
NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY)-- A person is seriously hurt following an overnight crash in Norfolk. According to police, the single-vehicle crash occurred in the 1600 block of Lafayette Boulevard around 3:15 a.m. Police say one person has life-threatening injuries. Motorists are asked to avoid the area while police investigate. Police say this investigation is expected to impact the morning commute. Closures along Lafayette Boulevard extend from Tidewater Drive to the base of the bridge at Villa Circle. Police encourage drivers to use Willow Wood Drive to the north or Lindenwood Avenue to the south as alternate routes.
