10-year-old Hudson boy airlifted to hospital after bicycle crash: FHP
BAYONET POINT, Fla. (WFLA) — A young boy is in serious condition after he was struck by two cars while riding his bicycle. The Florida Highway Patrol said it happened just before 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 12, in Bayonet Point. The boy, 10, was exiting a Circle K station on his bike and attempted to cross State Road 42 near the intersection with Victory Drive. He entered the path of and was struck by a Kia Niro, driven by a 45-year-old Hudson woman, FHP said. The impact pushed the boy into the path of a second vehicle, a Ford F350, driven by a 35-year-old Riverview man, which also hit him. The 10-year-old suffered serious injuries in the crash and was airlifted to a nearby hospital. There was no update on his condition as of around 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
