Multi-vehicle crash shuts down most of westbound I-40 in Memphis
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A three-vehicle crash shut down all westbound lanes of Interstate 40 near mile marker 1 in Memphis for over an hour and left three people injured on Saturday. According to a TDOT alert, the crash was reported at 4:24 p.m. Saturday at I-40 and the N. Danny Thomas Boulevard exit. Police say two men were taken to the hospital in critical condition, and one child was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition. As of 5:30 p.m., all lanes of traffic were back open. Check traffic conditions using the TDOT traffic cameras.
