Multi-truck collision closes highway
A tragic accident involving three semi-trucks took place on Highway 287 in Baca County, Colorado. The southbound driver of one of the semis, a Peterbilt, was sadly pronounced dead at the crash site after crossing the centerline and colliding head-on with another Peterbilt. The collision ignited a fire that engulfed one of the vehicles just north of the Oklahoma state line. The incident occurred late Wednesday night, leading to the closure of the highway for investigation by the Colorado State Patrol until the following morning.
