Moped rider sent to hospital after Springfield crash
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A moped rider is injured after a crash at an intersection in Springfield on Thursday morning. The crash is in the Hill-McKnight neighborhood at the intersection of Florence and Hancock Streets. Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh told 22News that at around 8 a.m., a moped rider collided with a pickup truck. The rider was taken to Baystate Medical Center with serious injuries. There is no word on the cause of the crash at this time. 22News will update this story as soon as more information becomes available.
