Missouri man dies in southern Iowa motorcycle crash
One person is dead and another is in the hospital following a motorcycle crash in Appanoose County.Just after 3 p.m. Friday, a 16-year-old SUV driver from Centerville turned in front of the motorcycle, which then crashed into the SUV's passenger side, according to an Iowa State Patrol report. The driver of the motorcycle, 50-year-old Brandon Baughman from Unionville, Missouri, died in the crash. That is nine more than the number recorded at the same point in 2025. Over the last five years, an average of 337 people have been killed in statewide crashes annually.
