Coroner’s office IDs 2 men killed in Dauphin County crash
DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- The two men killed after a van crashed into the back of a disabled vehicle on I-81 crash in Lower Paxton Township were identified by the coroner's office Wednesday. The Dauphin County Coroner's Office said, the driver of the van who died was 28-year-old Trevon Wallace, of West Virginia, and the passenger who died was 41-year-old Anthony Pena, of Westmoreland County. Both men died from multiple traumatic injuries and their deaths were ruled an accident by the coroner's office. Pennsylvania State Police at Harrisburg said in a crash report that Wallace went across the northbound lanes and crashed into a trailer attached to a commercial motor vehicle disabled on the shoulder of the highway at mile marker 70.4 around 10 a.m. Tuesday. There was a dash camera in the van that PSP was able to use to piece together what happened during the crash, according to the report. Troopers also noted in the report that the disabled vehicle had its emergency placarding activated before the crash.
