Man struck, killed in hit-and-run crash on I-270 Sunday night
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - Police are investigating after a man was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash Sunday night on Interstate 270. According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the crash occurred at 11 p.m. on northbound I-270 at Highway 370. It involved an unknown silver Volvo vehicle. The crash happened after the victim's vehicle had been involved in a previous crash on I-270, MSHP said. As the man was exiting the disabled vehicle, officials said the unknown Volvo vehicle struck the man as he was traveling northbound. The victim, a 40-year-old man from Foristell, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to MSHP. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
