Man pleads not guilty in fatal Effingham County crash
Editor's note: The video above aired on May 26. EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — A man accused of first-degree vehicular homicide after a crash in Effingham County pleaded not guilty Monday. Deiby Janamejoy Jansasoy, 27, was at the Effingham County Superior Court on Monday for a hearing following the May 1 crash that killed Michael "Danny" Sharpe. The crash took place on Old Augusta Road in Rincon, where Jansasoy reportedly had a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.197 at the time. Jansasoy is facing two counts of first-degree homicide by vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane.
