Man killed in crash near I-83 work zone identified
YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- The York County Coroner's Office on Wednesday identified the man killed in an I-83 crash near a work zone this week. The coroner's office said 41-year-old Andrew Warner, of Windsor Township, died in the crash on I-83 South near mile marker 32.9 in Newberry Township on June 29. Warner died from multiple blunt force trauma and his manner of death was ruled an accident, the coroner's office said. According to PennDOT, a weekend work zone was being cleared, which created a backlog at the time of the crash. Pennsylvania State Police said the crash involved two tractor-trailers and a pickup truck that was being driven by Warner. The crash remains under investigation. A stretch of I-83 south was closed for hours after the crash.
