Man dies after suspectedly speeding on I-95 in Spotsylvania County: VSP
SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- Troopers are searching for witnesses following a deadly crash on Interstate 95 in Spotsylvania County Friday morning. Virginia State Police (VSP) said the collision happened near mile marker 117, minutes after 4 a.m. on June 26. Their preliminary investigation indicated that a man driving a dark-colored Honda Civic was traveling north on the interstate when he ran off the road. The car then overturned in the median. The driver, a 26-year-old, died from his injuries. State police added that the man may have been speeding before the Honda went off the road. Investigators are encouraging anyone traveling on I-95 who may have witnessed the car or have any information about the driver's behavior to call 804-750-8778. The crash remains under investigation.
