Man dead after head-on crash in Wanatah; drunk driving suspected
One person is dead after a suspected drunk driving crash Saturday night in Wanatah. Police were called to the 200 south block of Main Street just before 10:30 p.m. for the crash. Officials say 43-year-old Allyn Brown was speeding north on Main Street when he crossed the center line and hit a southbound vehicle, driven by a 65-year-old, head-on. The vehicle that was hit then went off the road and crashed into a home. Brown died at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, along with his passenger, were treated at the scene for minor injuries. There is no word on if anyone was in the home at the time of the crash. Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, however toxicology results are pending and the investigation is ongoing.
